Video highlights of the 3rd round of the UCI Women's Road World Cup in Flanders (western Belgium), won by Ellen van Dijk (Boels-Dolmans Cycling Team). Van Dijk, the reigning Women's ITT (individual time-trial) World Champion, won the race in a late solo-attack. World Cup overall-leader (and Van Dijk's teammate) Lizzie Armitstead in 2nd, Emma Johansson (Orica-AIS) third. Details at prowomenscycling.com! Listen also to (& read) Sarah's exclusive interview with Ellen. After three rounds of the World Cup, Armitstead remains in the overall lead. Rabobank Liv riders fill out the remaining classification-leads: Iris Slappendel regains the Sprint lead, Pauline Ferrand-Prevot retains the Young Rider lead, and overall-favorite Anna van der Breggen now leads in the Mountains (QoM) classification.
The next round is on April 23 in eastern Belgium with La Flèche Wallone. That race, not only has one of the most difficult climbing-finishes (the Mur de Huy) of any race in the UCI calendar, but also marks the return of reigning Road Olympic and (back-to-back) World Champion Marianne Vos.
